We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the second phase of the project, “Development of an Innovative Liposomal Magnesium–Glutathione Chelate for Use in Food Products and Dietary Supplements with Antioxidant Properties Supporting Psychophysical Well-being” co-funded by the European Union under the European Funds program.
As part of the completed research and development activities, a stable formulation of liposomal magnesium glutathione chelate was successfully developed, and its key physicochemical properties were characterized. The conducted studies confirmed the feasibility of efficiently encapsulating the chelate within liposomal structures. The stability of the resulting liposomes was also evaluated, and the ability of the active substance to cross a model cellular barrier was verified. Together, these results represent an important milestone toward the development of an innovative dietary supplement.
The project has now entered its third phase, focusing on developing an uncoated tablet formulation that complies with the requirements of the European Pharmacopeia. This next stage will enable the preparation of the final product form for subsequent implementation and commercialization.
